Deepika Padukone stated, “Express, never suppress”: Actress attended PM Modi’s ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ program, whose episode would be televised tonight.

Deepika Padukone recently appeared on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s programme ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’, where she spoke about her school days and the significance of sharing emotions with youngsters. During this time, she candidly discussed her childhood pranks and the difficulties she had in school. Deepika admitted, “I was a pretty mischievous youngster. I used to jump on couches, tables, and chairs all the time. I used to feel quite worried out because I was so bad in arithmetic, and I still am.

Deepika referred to Prime Minister Modi’s book ‘Exam Warriors’, saying that “Express, Never Suppress” implies to constantly express your sentiments rather than repress them. During the talk, Deepika also led an engaging game for the children in which they were asked to identify and write down their strongest strength. In addition, she revealed her depressive experiences and emphasized the need of self-expression. Deepika thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for this fantastic opportunity and wished all students success in their examinations. The complete program will be shown on February 12.

Deepika recently appeared in Rohit Shetty’s film ‘Singham Again’. The actress was also popular in the films ‘Kalki’ and ‘Fighter’, which were released last year. The actress is currently taking care of her kid Dua. The actress gave birth to a daughter in September and is now enjoying her maternity leave.

Deepika Padukone recently visited the eighth edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha, where she engaged youngsters in a debate about mental health, using her personal experiences as an example. She also underlined the need of getting enough rest when studying for examinations. The actor captured a peek of the conversation on Instagram.

Deepika Padukone, who made a big entrance, welcomed the pupils with a smile and said, “I was a pretty terrible youngster. I would constantly climb tables, chairs, and sofas and leap from them.” She then related her test preparation experience, stating, “I used to get tremendously nervous (before examinations) since I was quite weak in math. I am still not very good at it. But, as Narendra Modi suggests in his book Exam Warriors, “Express, Never Suppress.” So, constantly express yourself to your friends, family, and teachers.”

She then made the children participate in an activity. She replied, “I want you to visualize and write down the one strength that you all have. What a fantastic exercise. You discover how many things you are genuinely excellent at.

Following the encounter, the presenter asked the kids, “What did you learn today?”. A pupil instantly replied, “To always have a smile on your face.” Another kid stated, “You just have to look into yourself and find your biggest strength.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched Pariksha Pe Charcha, an annual event, in 2018. During the occasion, PM Modi meets with children, instructors, and parents from throughout the country. The goal of the session is to prepare youngsters to take board and entrance tests in a comfortable and stress-free environment.

The second episode of ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha 2025’, airing on Wednesday, will feature Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone speaking with schoolchildren on the significance of mental health and well-being. A video uploaded by the actress provides a preview of the event, in which she discusses the importance of mental health, particularly in education.

The video opens with a pupil questioning Ms Padukone about the most essential steps they may take to enhance their mental health. She told them to constantly express themselves and not repress their emotions, whether with family or friends.

“Always express, never conceal. “Be it with anybody,” she stated.

The 39-year-old actress will also discuss her struggle with depression on the episode.

“I’d want to congratulate our Prime Minister Narendra Modi for providing us with this opportunity to emerge as fighters rather than worriers. “I want to wish you all the best,” she added.

PM Modi stated on X that the “exam warriors” (students) want to address mental health and welfare.

PM Modi kicked off the seventh edition of ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ on Monday with an engagement with youngsters at Delhi’s famed Sunder Nursery. He taught pupils several advice on how to manage stress during examinations, meditation, and leadership.

Aside from Ms Padukone, many famous personalities will attend the show, including Bollywood actors Vikrant Massey and Bhumi Pednekar, spiritual leader Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, boxer Mary Kom, athlete Avani Lekhara, nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar, food pharmacist (Revant Himatsingka), and technical guruji (Gaurav Chaudhary). Business executives including Sonali Sabharwal and Radhika Gupta will also be in attendance.

Founded in 2018, ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ is held yearly to assist students in grades 6 through 12 in overcoming exam stress and anxiety. During the occasion, participants get the opportunity to ask the Prime Minister questions. The online registration for ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ 2025 began on December 14, 2024 and will end on January 14, 2025.
